Brown Strokes 5 Hits
|
It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Dave Brown of the Hartford Hawks. Brown went on a tear at The Ballpark at Brewery Hill and cracked hit after hit off Milwaukee pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond, the 23-year-old right fielder had a career 5-for-5 day and something he will long remember.
"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but I don't think I'll tell them we lost," he joked in the BNN postgame interview.
Despite Brown's personal accolades, the Milwaukee Hogs walked off the field with the 14-3 win.
Dave Brown singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
This season Brown has no home runs and a .344 batting average.
