Meredith Slugs Revolution to 9-4 Win
|
The Philadelphia Revolution downed the San Francisco Seals, 9-4, at Minuteman Field. The Revolution were led by Curt Meredith. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 7 runs and scored twice. Philadelphia now has a record of 74-46 with the win.
Meredith contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Philadelphia in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Meredith took a fastball from Álex Márquez and stroked the home run to left-center. His 8th home run of the season allowed the Revolution to leap in front, 4-1.
"I like our moxie," said Revolution manager Robert Dyck.
