Hattiesburg Defeats Houston 5-1, Thynne Nabs 400th Save

The Hattiesburg Heat really celebrated their 5-1 victory over the Houston Armadillos at Hattiesburg Grounds. Not only did the Heat win the game, but reliever Kent Thynne recorded his 400th-career save. The bullpen ace stopped Houston on no runs and no hits in his 1 innings of work to seal the triumph.
"It's a good milestone -- it doesn't happen very often," Thynne said. "I was out there when my teammates needed me 400 times, and I'm real proud of that."
In his career, Thynne has made 739 appearances with a 53-79 record and tossed 856.2 innings with 899 strikeouts. Batters have hit .241 against him, his lifetime ERA stands at 3.20 and he has accumulated 400 saves.
