Captains Pull Even With 4-1 Victory

The Great Lakes Loons went down to defeat to Jeff Ramirez and his Lake County teammates. The final score was 4-1 in favor of the Captains. Ramirez, now 8-4, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing no runs. Esteban Paredes collected save number 17.
Esteban Reynoso helped the Lake County cause with two out in the bottom of the sixth. Batting with the bases loaded and Lake County leading 2-0, he hit a 2-run single.
"Jeff just went about his business, throwing strikes," said Lake County manager Evan Scribner.
Lake County now sits at 66-66, while Great Lakes falls to 86-46.
