The Indianapolis Drillers went home winners at Municipal Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Andy Hermans. Hermans stifled the Hagerstown Suns, enabling Indianapolis to grab the 3-1 win. Hermans got the win, improving to 1-2. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 5.2 innings. Hermans allowed 1 run. Jarrod Chafin closed the door for Indianapolis, picking up his 4th save of the year.

Chris Olson, the 20-year old shortstop , had a direct impact on the outcome. Olson contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fifth inning to put Indianapolis up, 3-1.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Hagerstown manager Ed Smith.

The Suns, at 3-9, have stumbled out of the gate.
