Suns Win at Indianapolis, 3-2
|
Hagerstown Suns starter Chris Musacchio turned in a sterling performance against the Indianapolis Drillers, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. Musacchio, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 5.2 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 3 walks. Tim Rohner recorded the save for Hagerstown, his 6th of the season.
Hagerstown used the timely hitting of Al Fletcher to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Suns on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Musacchio. "I just want to win ballgames."
Hagerstown has a record of 27-30, placing them 5th in the Northern Division.
