Rough Riders Deal Fireflies 5-3 Defeat
The Tucson Rough Riders beat the Columbia Fireflies, 5-3, at Spirit Communications Park. Tucson shortstop Chris King had an outstanding performance. He went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Zach Napier was credited with the save, his 4th in 7 tries. The Rough Riders now have a record of 48-46.

In the top of the fourth, with the bases loaded, King came to the plate. He drew a walk, driving in 1 run off Chris Landry to put the Rough Riders in the lead, 3-2.

"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" King told the Tucson News. "You win just by scoring more runs."
