West Virginia turned a good effort from starter Jorge Becerril into a win over the Hagerstown Suns at Appalachian Power Park. The final score was 4-2. Becerril went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 3-8. Despite the win, the Power still have a pitiful 20-76 record.

West Virginia took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Danny Nottingham stroked a run-scoring single to make it 3-2, Power.
