Lexington and West Virginia duked it out and the Legends came out victorious.

The Lexington Legends dealt the West Virginia Power a 6-3 loss at Appalachian Power Park. Joe Gibson was the star on offense. He went 3 for 4 with 3 doubles. Juan Serpa converted his 16th save in 19 tries.

In the top of the third, with Lexington leading 2-0, designated hitter Jared Reale hit a run-scoring single. The hit came off Jorge Cabrera and put the Legends ahead, 3-0.

"It was our day today," Reale told the Lexington Chronicle. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."

The Legends, at 56-46, have now won 7 straight.
