The Columbia Fireflies and Greensboro Grasshoppers were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Greensboro Grasshoppers starter Luis Terrazas pitched his team past the Columbia Fireflies, 3-2. At 74-42, the Grasshoppers find themselves in first place in the Northern Division.

Dan Griffin, who is tied for 3rd in the in home runs with 15, aided the Greensboro cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the third. For the game, the designated hitter went 2-3 with a double and a walk.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Columbia manager Marcus Stroman. "But we decided not to take it."
