Lexington starter Jim Lundy pitched well against the Delmarva Shorebirds at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-2. The winning pitcher was Lundy, now 6-3. He tossed 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 4. Juan Serpa closed the door for Lexington, picking up his 19th save of the year.

A decisive at-bat came in the top of the first inning. With the bases loaded, the batter, Jared Reale, hit a sacrifice fly. It made the score 1-0, Lexington, and helped them go on to win.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Lexington manager Chris Herrmann.
