Muckdogs Best Ironbirds, 4-3
|
The Batavia Muckdogs did just enough to sneak past the Aberdeen Ironbirds, 4-3, at Dwyer Stadium. Batavia pitcher Rogelio Ramirez, in particular, had a standout performance. Batavia reliever Rogelio Ramirez got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Pete Logan was tagged with the loss. Picking up the save was Joe Tate, his 4th.
The Muckdogs got a lift from center fielder Kevin Harrison who had a 2-run double in the bottom of the second inning off Pete Logan. It was his 1st double of the season and put Batavia in front, 3-1.
"You come to the ballpark to do your job and that's what I did today," Ramirez told the Batavia Gazette.
The hot start continues for the defending champion Muckdogs. This was their 7th win in 10 games.
