A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Auburn Doubledays and Aberdeen Ironbirds.

Auburn turned a good effort from starter Ian Lemke into a win over the Aberdeen Ironbirds at Falcon Park. The final score was 7-2. In 5 innings, Lemke surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 3. He allowed 2 runs.

The Doubledays got an important contribution from left fielder Mike David, who in the bottom of the first punched a 0-2 fastball into center for a run-scoring double. It was his 11th double of the season and put the Doubledays ahead, 2-0.

"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Lemke.

The victory gives Auburn a record of 36-21.
