Royals Knock Off Mustangs, 4-2

The Burlington Royals and Billings Mustangs completed their game despite the inclement weather.
The Burlington Royals topped the Billings Mustangs, 4-2, in Northwest League action at Burlington Athletic Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Burlington pitcher Chris Skiles. Skiles, now 1-0, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 10, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs.
The Royals got a big at-bat from catcher Jeff Brockman, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a run-scoring double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Royals on top, 2-0.
"Chris was throwing free and easy," said Burlington manager Chris Leroux.
The win brings the Royals to 3-8, an awful start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.
