Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the West Virginia Black Bears got the win.

The West Virginia Black Bears got a stellar effort from pitcher Chris Kocher, helping West Virginia score a win over the visiting Williamsport Crosscutters, 4-2. Kocher went 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 2. His record improves to 4-2. Alpha Boatswain was credited with the save for West Virginia, his 17th of the season.

In the bottom of the fifth inning with two out, West Virginia designated hitter Dan Myers hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 2-0, Black Bears. For the day, Myers was 1-4.

After the game, West Virginia manager Dominic Toso applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.

The 4th-place Black Bears improved to 33-32.
