Detroit (GCL) and Tampa Bay (GCL) duked it out and the Tigers came out victorious.

Detroit (GCL) second baseman Davon Dankins helped his team beat the Tampa Bay (GCL) Rays, 7-5. Dankins, who leads the in RBI with 43, went 3 for 5 for the Tigers. Danny Baucom went 7.2 innings for Detroit (GCL) to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 5 runs. He scattered 11 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 9. His record improves to 3-3. Mike Willis earned the save, his 7th.

Detroit (GCL) took a 5-3 lead on Dankins's 14th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which he hit off Juan Alvarado in the top of the eighth, propelled Detroit (GCL) to the win.
