Pirates Snatch Late Win
The Pittsburgh (GCL) Pirates topped the Boston (GCL) Red Sox, 5-4, in Gulf Coast Rookie League action at Pirate City Complex. The game was highlighted by the performance of Pittsburgh (GCL) designated hitter Zion Gallishaw. Pittsburgh (GCL) is in third place in the Northeast Division with a record of 27-16.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, an error by the Red Sox allowed the Pirates to score the winning run.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Gallishaw. "And not try to do too much."
