Eric Esparza pitched a gem to lead Aberdeen to victory over the Auburn Doubledays, 2-1. Aberdeen currently is in first place in the McNamara Division at 40-29.

Chad Gale was the walk-off hero for Aberdeen. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Ironbirds pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.

Gale said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
