Suns Get 3-1 Win Versus Rome
|
The Hagerstown Suns and Rome Braves played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.
In a tight game between the Hagerstown Suns and the Rome Braves, pitcher Chris Musacchio was terrific on the mound. The Hagerstown right-hander helped his team to the 3-1 win. The winning pitcher was Musacchio, now 4-3. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 7. Josh Bilello notched his 17th save in 21 chances.
Sam Dale had a timely hit for Hagerstown in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and a runner on 2nd, Dale hit a run-scoring single off Gabe Haines. It put the Suns in front, 2-1.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Hagerstown skipper Ed Smith. "I can't complain."
Hagerstown has now won 4 in a row.
