The Rome Braves got a magnificent performance from pitcher Josh DeLouise, who muffled the Indianapolis offense en route to a tight 2-0 Braves win at Indianapolis Fields. DeLouise went 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 0, and struck out 5. His record improves to 3-0. Kelyn Stuckless converted his 11th save in 12 tries.

Rome catcher Harland Bundage contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the second. With two down, he hit a sinker into center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 17th hit of the season and put the Braves ahead, 1-0.

"It's no secret that good defense follows around people who throw strikes," said Rome manager Federico Giordani.

Rome leads the Southern Division by 7½ games.
