A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the San Antonio Flying Tigers and Omaha Hooks.

The San Antonio Flying Tigers took Omaha pitcher Ernesto Morales's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Flying Tigers Ballpark. The final score had San Antonio getting past the Hooks, 7-4. Morales went 5.2 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 7. Ron Collins recorded the save for San Antonio, his 32nd of the season.

Had Ben Alexander not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Alexander hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Flying Tigers.

"The vibe's good," said San Antonio manager Prince Fielder. "We've got to keep it going."

With the win, the Flying Tigers have a record of 58-64.
