Northwest Arkansas picked up a win at Hodgetown, toppling the Amarillo Sod Poodles, 6-4. Pitcher Mike Woodward was one of the reasons the Naturals triumphed. Woodward got the win, improving to 4-3. He allowed 7 hits and walked 3 over 8 innings. Woodward allowed 4 runs. Luis Zambrano recorded the save, his 2nd.

Northwest Arkansas used the clutch hitting of Danny Grote to capture the win. The second baseman drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Naturals the lead, 5-4. For the game, Grote had 2 singles and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Northwest Arkansas manager Tim Hummel.

Northwest Arkansas is in second place in the North Division with a record of 81-58.
