Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Buffalo Bisons got the win.
Buffalo rode a good effort from starter Rodolfo Medina to beat the Louisville Bats at Coca-Cola Field. The final score was 4-2. Andy Fletcher earned the save, his 12th, for the Bisons.
The Bisons got a big at-bat from shortstop Skyler Nowak. For the game, Nowak was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Buffalo a 3-1 lead.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Buffalo skipper Luis Bosque. "I can't complain."
The 5th-place Bisons now have a win-loss record of 51-73.
