Lannigan Blasts Senators, Rumble Ponies Take Game 3, 11-3
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of catcher Teagan Lannigan, the Binghamton Rumble Ponies got a road win against the Harrisburg Senators, 11-3, in Game 3 of the Round 1 today. Lannigan was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Rumble Ponies, who now lead the best-of-5 series, 2 games to 1.
Phil Bell aided the Binghamton cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman went 2 for 5 with a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"We're happy," Bell told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at FNB Field in Harrisburg.
