Jackson Breaks Through for First Win in Round 2; Now Trails 2-1
Facing elimination, the Jackson Generals were looking for a savior. For today, at least, Bellchyor Suggia delivered.

At The Ballpark at Jackson, the 24-year old pitched a game for the ages to fend off the Mobile BayBears and help the Generals close their deficit in the Round 2. Suggia threw a 9-inning, complete-game shutout in the 7-0 Jackson win, striking out 8 and allowing 6 hits. The Generals now trail 2-1 in the best-of-5 series.

The famously hardworking Suggia handled the BayBears all day, notching 8 strikeouts in 9 innings while allowing 6 hits. Suggia goes to 2-0 on the year with 16 strikeouts.

"We were a little off-kilter to start the series, but we're getting things figured out now," Jackson manager Austin Pruitt told reporters. "At least I hope we are."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Ballpark at Jackson in Jackson.
