SeaWolves Snatch Late Win
The Akron RubberDucks and Erie SeaWolves were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Erie SeaWolves had to overcome a big game from Akron right fielder J.R. Corley to leave Jerry Uht Park with a victory. And they did, winning 7-5. Corley went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Erie reliever Dan Gilpin was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Dylan Erskine. Picking up the save was Alpha Johnwell, his 6th.

The SeaWolves beat the RubberDucks with some clutch hitting. The single by Davon Dankins in the bottom of the eighth is a good example. With two down, Dankins gave his team the lead, 7-5, when he came through with the big hit.

"The most important thing is that we won," Dankins said.

The SeaWolves, now 16-7, have been playing some good baseball.
