Twins Rally Past Royals to Claim 1-0 Series Lead
A clutch 9th inning gave the Minnesota Twins a walk-off win over the Kansas City Royals and a 1-0 lead in the League Championship Series at Target Field. Young left fielder Andy White, 24, earned kudos after he was 2-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 3.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Minnesota trailing 7-5, White jumped on a cutter from two-time All-Star Mike Wilkins and hit a 3-run home run to center. With one swing, the Twins had a walk-off win.

"We're happy," White told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Target Field in Minneapolis.
