In the top of the first, Whip Duder ambushed a 1-1 fastball from Shamar Ramos and hit a 2-run home run. It gave Arizona a quick 2-0 lead.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Helsten. "And not try to do too much."
