Astros Fall Short, 2-1, at Minnesota
|
Minnesota Twins starter Steve Robison turned in a top-notch performance against the Houston Astros at Target Field. The result was a win for the Twins, 2-1. Robison yielded no runs over 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 10-12. Sergio Dotel earned his 23rd save in 28 chances.
C.J. Ormsbee had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for Minnesota. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Minnesota in front, 2-0.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Ormsbee said.
Minnesota improves to 78-65 with the win. They lead their division by 6 games.
