Late Magic Gets El Paso 9-4 Win
The 9-4 El Paso win over Tacoma was due in large part to Juan Castro. The Chihuahuas left fielder was 4 for 5 with a triple and 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner in relief was Chris Thorstad. He is now 1-2. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. The Rainiers, now 8-18, continue their sluggish start.

Damani Wandick helped out the El Paso cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the right fielder went 1 for 4.
