|
Tacoma got a strong outing from Kamari Bestman as the Rainiers defeated the Salt Lake Bees, 2-1, at Cheney Stadium. Willem Selkirk closed the door for Tacoma, picking up his 1st save of the year. The victory puts Tacoma at 16-33.
It was an impressive outing from the soft-spoken Bestman, who tallied 9 strikeouts in 8 innings and allowed only 5 hits. Bestman, who is tied for 4th in the PC with a 1 complete games, raised his record to 1-2 on the year with 23 strikeouts.
"I was able to get good plays made behind me," Bestman said. "And I was able to make pitches when I needed to make pitches."
