The New Orleans Baby Cakes had to overcome a big game from Omaha designated hitter Esteban Marrero to leave Zephyr Field with a victory. And they did, winning 6-3. Marrero went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times. With the win, the Baby Cakes sit at 33-24.

Maddox Lachance dealt the Storm Chasers a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and New Orleans leading 3-2, Lachance, who is tied for 8th in the AC with a .342 batting average, hit a 1-1 sinker for a run-scoring single.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Lachance told the New Orleans Times.
