For the home crowd, it was a thrilling walk-off win.

The Iowa Cubs had to overcome a fine effort from Tacoma pitcher Kamari Bestman to grab a narrow 5-4 win at Principal Park. Bestman went 8 innings and allowed 3 runs. Iowa is last in the American Conference North Division with a record of 29-40.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Iowa trailing 4-3, Jake Gerner hit a fastball from Willem Selkirk to center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Cubs had a walk-off win.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Tacoma manager Jordan Zimmermann. "The effort was great."
