The Lehigh Valley IronPigs went home winners at Coca-Cola Park, thanks in large part to starter Jorge Chavira. Chavira stifled the Indianapolis Indians, enabling Lehigh Valley to grab the 2-0 win. Chavira, now 1-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 8, walking 1, and allowing no runs. Jae-myung Sung recorded the save for Lehigh Valley, his 2nd of the season.

Erik Keefe went 1-4 with a double for Lehigh Valley. In the bottom of the fourth, with the teams deadlocked, 0-0, Keefe delivered for the IronPigs. His run-scoring ground out put Lehigh Valley on top, 1-0.

"We didn't score," said losing manager Shaun Cole. "That was the problem."

The victory makes Lehigh Valley 5-2.
