Led by Jeremy Powell, the El Paso Chihuahuas downed the Albuquerque Isotopes, 8-6. Powell went 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for the Chihuahuas. The win was credited to Mike Wood in relief. His record improves to 3-6. Jeff Eshel took the loss. Jimmy Sellner earned his 7th save in 9 tries.

The Chihuahuas got a big hit from third baseman Chris Bays. In the bottom of the seventh, Bays smacked a 2-run triple off Albuquerque pitcher Jeff Eshel. It was his 2nd triple of the season. Suddenly, the Chihuahuas were ahead, 7-6.

"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Bays.

El Paso has now won 3 in a row.
