The Sacramento River Cats overcame a good performance by Salt Lake catcher Humberto Reynoso to knock off Salt Lake, 7-5, at Raley Field. Reynoso was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs. Sacramento pitcher Raheem Teemer got the win. He's now 11-8. Josh Brown was tagged with the loss. Jon Frates earned his 30th save in 37 tries.

The River Cats got a big at-bat from first baseman Luis Velasco. For the game, Velasco went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 9th double of the season gave Sacramento a 5-3 lead.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Velasco told the Sacramento Gazette.

Sacramento is now 68-59, Salt Lake 68-59.
