Escochea Leads Fresno Past El Paso
Pitcher Arturo Escochea was sensational for the Fresno Grizzlies in his team's 7-0 triumph over the El Paso Chihuahuas. Escochea picked up the win, and it was well-earned. The Grizzlies have an impressive 83-47 record.

Escochea, a native of Guayama, Puerto Rico, was dealing all game. He kept El Paso hitters off-balance, while giving the Grizzlies 7.1 quality innings. Escochea threw 93 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 6.

"I liked his command," said Fresno manager R.J. Rodriguez. "Arturo was throwing strikes."
