The first-place Fresno Grizzlies picked up another win.
Yesbel Witt was a major factor in the 4-2 Fresno win over Sacramento. The Grizzlies first baseman was 4 for 4 with a triple and 3 singles. Luis Rivas earned the save for Fresno, his 1st of the year.
With Fresno leading 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth, Witt hit a run-scoring single off Sacramento hurler Jahiem Kizzie. It was the 14th hit of the season for Witt and put his team ahead, 4-2.
"Bottom line," said Sacramento skipper Adam Eaton, "we didn't play well enough to win."
The first-place Grizzlies, at 86-49, now lead their division by 15 games.
