The Binghamton Rumble Ponies trumped the Akron RubberDucks, 7-4, at NYSEG Stadium. Binghamton catcher Ed Culver was terrific. He went 2 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Juan Miranda converted his 10th save in 10 tries. The Rumble Ponies improved to 26-32.

Tim Cowell aided the Binghamton cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the third. For the game, the center fielder was 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
