Indians Lose Late, 5-4
|
Starting pitcher Amare Kincey pitched well enough to help the Gwinnett Stripers beat the Indianapolis Indians, 5-4. Gwinnett is now 44-21.
Gwinnett used a clutch hit from Jonathan DeLaurentis to get the win. The designated hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Stripers ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a doozy.
"I believe in our guys," said Gwinnett skipper Sebastian Rivero. "I like the energy they're playing with."
