The Trenton Thunder picked up a win at Arm & Hammer Park, knocking off the Altoona Curve, 6-3. On the mound for Trenton was right-hander Mike Van, who played a pivotal role in the win. At 37-52, Trenton is in 5th place in the Eastern Division.

Trenton took control in the bottom of the seventh. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Whitney Whimster hit a run-scoring double to make it 3-2, Thunder.

"Good win for us," said Whimster. "We'll strap it on and go after the next one."
