Fisher Cats Get Past Portland for 6-5 Win
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the New Hampshire Fisher Cats and Portland Sea Dogs.

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats overcame a fine performance by Portland second baseman Juan Gallardo to defeat the Sea Dogs, 6-5, at Hadlock Field. Gallardo was 3-4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. New Hampshire reliever Luis Rivera picked up the win to move to 2-0. Dan DeLucchi suffered the loss.

With the clubs tied 5-5 in the top of the eighth and the bases loaded, center fielder Jarrod Whitley drew a walk, driving in 1 run.

"We all want to win," said Whitley. "We all want to do our part."

New Hampshire is now 44-46.
