Binghamton rode a good effort from starter Jaquan Tard to beat the Trenton Thunder at Arm & Hammer Park. The final score was 4-2. Binghamton reliever Steve Ewton was the winner. His record is now 4-1. Kevin Bushman took the loss. Juan Miranda earned the save, his 16th, for the Rumble Ponies.

Binghamton needed the clutch hitting of Danny Chiello to notch the win. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Rumble Ponies on top, 4-2. For the game, Chiello had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Enjoyed this one," Tard told the Binghamton Daily News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."

Their 45-51 record puts the Rumble Ponies 4th in the Eastern Division.
