Starting pitcher Luis Terrazas was a major factor in the 6-2 Altoona Curve triumph over the Bowie Baysox. Terrazas, now 5-7, was the winner. In 8.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 8, walking 3, and allowing 2 runs. Chris Wright was called on to finish, recording his 4th save.
Altoona relied on the hitting of Steve Wagner to pick up the win. The second baseman ripped a bases-clearing triple in the top of the fourth inning to put the Curve on top, 5-0. For the game, Wagner had 1 triple and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Terrazas said after the game.
The Curve, at 43-54, sit in 5th place in the Western Division.
