The bats were silent much of the day at The Diamond. But Brendan Davis conjured up just enough offense to carry the Flying Squirrels past the Trenton Thunder, 3-2. Davis went 4-4 with 4 singles, while adding 3 RBI. Josh Henson closed the door for Richmond, picking up his 21st save of the year. At 39-68, the Flying Squirrels claim 5th place in the Western Division.

The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fifth when Davis, who leads the in RBI with 74, hit a run-scoring single. It propelled the Flying Squirrels into the lead, 3-2.

"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Davis.
