Altoona got a strong outing from Jorge Molina as the Curve defeated the Reading Fightin Phils, 4-2, at FirstEnergy Stadium. Billy Parrish earned the save for Altoona, his 10th of the year. Altoona, at 78-39, holds down first place in the Western Division.

Altoona first baseman Josh Lusk contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two down, he hit a changeup into left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 53rd hit of the season and put the Curve ahead, 3-1.

Molina called the triumph "a good team win."
