New Hampshire Fisher Cats pitcher Phil Hiegel whisked his team past the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, 8-0. The third-place Fisher Cats now have a win-loss record of 60-67.

Hiegel's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 7 strikeouts in 8.2 innings while allowing 6 hits. Hiegel, who is tied for 3rd in the in wins with 13, goes to 13-8 on the year with 101 strikeouts.

"You've got to ride the highs and the lows in baseball in order to succeed," Hiegel told the New Hampshire Today. "Right now I'm feeling good, but that don't mean squat for tomorrow."
