Flying Squirrels Edge Reading in Pitching Duel
Right-hander Ernesto Castro mesmerized the Reading Fightin Phils while leading the Richmond Flying Squirrels to a 1-0 victory. Takeo Miwa got credit for the save for Richmond. It was his 36th of the year. Richmond is now 79-57, Reading 46-90.

Steve Watkins, the 23-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Watkins contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the third inning to put Richmond up, 1-0.

Watkins said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
