McDonald Struts Stuff in Win Over Jackson
Mike McDonald was impressive at Regions Field today in the Birmingham Barons' 4-0 shutout victory over the Jackson Generals. The Birmingham pitcher mystified the Generals in a strong performance, giving up 6 hits and totaling 1 walk and 4 strikeouts.

"Mike had them chasing a lot of pitches and talking to themselves," Birmingham manager Joe Torres. "It was something special to watch."

Up to now McDonald has recorded a record of 1-4. In 5 starts he has fanned 27 batters in 31.1 innings with a 4.88 ERA.
