Steve Scarbrough had a big hand in Midland's 7-6 triumph over Amarillo. He rattled off 3 hits in 4 at-bats, scoring 1 times and knocking in 1 runs. Logan Allen earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 2-0. Jared Schmidt earned the save for Midland, his 4th of the year.

The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Scarbrough delivered big-time for Midland, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Ignacio Robles. The game-changing hit put the RockHounds on top, 7-6.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said RockHounds manager Travis Dawkins. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."

The Sod Poodles fall to 4-8 and continue their lackluster start to the 2040 season.
